Why do industrial switches need aging testing?

The aging test inspection standard can be specified according to the customer. If there is no special requirement, the aging test is carried out according to the corresponding national standard. The aging test is mainly a high-strength test that simulates various harsh conditions in the actual use of the product, and at the same time, according to the requirements of use, the service life of the product is reasonably predicted.

The aging test is to achieve a satisfactory pass rate, and almost all products must be aged before leaving the factory. The first reason for burn-in is to improve the reliability of the product, so far there is no other alternative. For new products, it is necessary to assess the performance of new components or the whole machine, and the aging index is higher. Aging exposes the defects of the product before leaving the factory, such as the reliability of solder joints, and various defects in the design, material and process of the product; aging makes the product performance enter a stable range and leaves the factory, reducing the repair rate.

What is the aging test of the product?

The aging test of the product generally refers to the continuous long-term full-load operation of the product. How long is this "lasting time"? Generally 24 hours or 48 hours, of course, it can be 1 hour or 0 hours, which depends on the pursuit of quality and cost requirements. Aging test, also known as roasting machine or burning machine, means to test it harshly or "try hard to burn it". Only those products that have survived the torture are excellent products, and reputable companies will only sell these to user.

Why do burn-in testing?

Most of the products that have just come out of the production line have the complete functions at the time of their design and can be put into use directly, but why do we need to do the aging test? The theory of product quality tells us that most of the product failures occur. The initial stage and the final stage, the final stage is the normal life of the product, which cannot be controlled, but the initial stage can be controlled and can be controlled before the factory is shipped, that is, before the product is handed over to the user, a sufficient aging test is performed to eliminate the problem. Inside the factory, regular manufacturers do this, but small workshops generally do not do aging tests, or in other words, the work of aging tests is handed over to users, so we still often buy some products, and they break down after a long time. In fact, this is the result of failing the aging test. Since the user has claimed part of the factory's work, the products of the small workshop are generally much cheaper.

Of course, lucky users sometimes buy products that can be used for a long time. The product quality theory says: "If a product can work continuously for one day without failure, then it is likely to work continuously for a year without failure", So if you buy a product and use it for a few days without breaking, then it may follow you for many years, in fact, this is the result of passing the aging test.

In fact, the difference between regular manufacturers and small workshops is not too big. There is only one small point: the existence and length of product "aging test".
